Rock Art sites are fragile and sacred to many people.
Please never touch the petroglyphs & pictographs.
Sit with them in silence and let them touch you.

"DREAMS & VISIONS"

This original watercolor was inspired by the rock art at Roche-A-Cri State Park
in central Wisconsin. The tall rock mound in the center of the park
has both petroglyphs (carvings on rock) and pictographs (paintings on rock) on its ancient face.
Archaeologist Cindi Stiles and myself will offer programs on art & archaeology at the park on August 13 & 14, 2011.
