In celebration of Quetico's 100 year anniversary in 2009, the Friends of Quetico
have established a "Canoe Quest". The challenge is to enter each of the Park's 6 entry points in the course of four years,
receive a patch representing each Ranger Station, and be entered into a drawing for a Souris Canoe and
become a part of Quetico history.
Once we learned of this challenge, it became Bob's mission. Just
like backpacking in the Tetons in 1993, this was his dream;
and as faithfully as he supports me, I do my best in
return. This year we spent two weeks traveling in and around Quetico, had a Great Time!
AND finished
our Quest. It may have been his goal, but it turned out to also be absolutely my best vacation in years.
Thank you, Bob!!
